SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S - PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below. It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 6th December 2021 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Glyn Morlas Lane, Ifton Meadows Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 7 days between 08:00 to 16:00 each day Purpose: Highways Drainage Works Alternative Route: Glyn Morlas Lane, Overton road, B5070, Rhyn Lane Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Hunkington Lane, Withington Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 4 days between 08:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Road Closure - Western Power Distribution, overhead works only, no excavation for reconductoring. Alternative Route: Caernarvon Lane, Unnamed road West, Pelham Road Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed roads between Longville in the Dale and Church Preen Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 16 days between 09:30 and 15:30 each day Purpose: Road Closure: BT - Build 3 precast jointing chamber, install 630m of 1 way poly duct in Verge and install 8m of 1 way poly duct in carriageway. Alternative Route: Unnamed road South East, B4371, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road South West Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Gamesters Lane, West Felton Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 7 days Purpose: Site 335 Surface Dressing Prep Works to Include Patching, Type-1, Road Marks Alternative Route: B4397, A5, Unnamed road South West to Sandford, Unnamed road South East Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Atcham to Crosshouses road Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 12 days between 09:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Construction of gabion wall to retain edge of road Alternative Route: A458, Lower Cross, Unnamed road North West Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Longnor Green and Frodesley Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 1 day Purpose: Road Closure - BT, road closure required to access the network to carry out pole test. Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 5 days between 09:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Site 110 Carriageway Renewal to Include - Patching, overlay, ironwork raising, ironwork replacement, type-1, vegetation cutting, sign cleaning, stud replacement, road marks Alternative Route: B4363, B4555 Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4194, Cloggs Bank Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 12 days between 09:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Site 298 Carriageway Renewal to include Tex Patch, Patching, Ironwork Replacing, Concrete Grip, Ditch Cleaning, Road Marks, Road Studs Replacement Alternative Route: Dowles road, B4190, A456, A4117, B4201, B4363, B4199 Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Crow Lane, Childs Ercall Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 7 days between 09:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Capital works to include side out/sweep/central overburden removal, cut back vegetation, topsoil and seed, regulating, inlay, overlay, tie-in, structural patch, road marking, type- 1 material, kerb replacement/ ironwork, adjustment/ replacement (and cleaning), traffic sign removal. Alternative Route: Village road, Ollerton Lane, Crow Lane Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Evelith Lane, Kemberton Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 5 days between 09:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Capital works to include patching, overlay, ironwork raising, ironwork replacement, road marks Alternative Route: Park Lane, Park Street, Market Place, Victoria Road, A4169, B4379, Hall Lane, Mill Lane Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Valeswood Lane, Little Ness Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 2 days Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent, Hydrant rebuild chamber. Alternative Route: Little Ness road, B4397, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road South East Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between A41 at Rosehill towards Colehurst Date & Duration: 8th December 2021 for 3 days Purpose: Road Closure - New Water Connection Alternative Route: A41, Unnamed road North Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Marche Lane and A458, Halfway House Date & Duration: 8th December 2021 from 21:00 to 06:00 9th December 2021 Purpose: Highways England Carriageway repairs Alternative Route : Marche Lane, A458 Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Victoria Road, Market Drayton Date & Duration: 9th December 2021 for 7 days between 09:30 and 16:00 each day Purpose: Site 278 Surface Dressing Prep Works Patching, Ironwork replacement Alternative Route: Shrewsbury Road, Alexandra Road, Longslow Road Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Cefn- y-wern, Tedsmore Date & Duration: 10th December 2021 between 09:30 and 16:00 Purpose: Road Closure to create a new soakaway Alternative Route: Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road West, Tedsmore road Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Shore Lane, Cressage Date & Duration: 10th December 2021 for 1 day Purpose: Road Closure - BT, traffic management required to provide safe working zone for pole test. Alternative Route: Shore Lane, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road East, Wood Lane, A458 Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using The Burway, Church Stretton Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for Purpose: Road Closure - To be put in place in the interests on public safety as and when required should weather conditions and as directed by signage on site. Alternative Route: Not applicable Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from travelling at more than 30mph on Longden Road, near A5 Overbridge near Shrewsbury as directed by signage on site. Date & Duration: 6th December 2021 for 4 days Purpose: Temporary reduction of speed limit - Severn Trent, new water connection. During the works two way signals will be required with a Temporary speed restriction of 30 mph enforced.
