ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT 1984 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 THE ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL (ABERDEEN STREET MARKETS, ABERDEEN) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)(NUMBER 11) ORDER 2019 (ABERDEEN STREET MARKETS, ABERDEEN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT)(NUMBER 11) ORDER 2019 Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.and under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of these orders, which will operate from 18:00 on 11 October, 2019 until 20:00 on 26 October, 2019. From until 18:00 on 11 October, 2019 until 20:00 on 12 October, 2019, there will be a temporary prohibition of waiting on either side of Thistle Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rose Street and Chapel Street, also from 06:00 until 20:00 on 12 October, 2019, there will be a temporary prohibition of driving on Thistle Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rose Street and Chapel Street. An alternative route is available via Rose Street, Huntly Street and Chapel Street. From 05:00 until 20:00 on 26 October, 2019, Belmont Street, Little Belmont Street and Gaelic Lane, Aberdeen, will be closed, with the exception of vehicles loading or unloading or vehicles taking access to disabled parking bays on Little Belmont Street. Also, during this time, the existing one-way restriction on Little Belmont Street, Aberdeen, will be suspended. These measures are necessary to protect public safety during the Thistle Street and Belmont Street Markets.
