www.highland.gov.uk THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL The Council has made The Highland Council (C1118 General Booth Road (Part), Inverness (Temporary Closure) Order (Amendment Number 3) Order 2020 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and related legislation, to temporarily prohibit traffic from using the C1118 between its junction with the A82 Dalnottar – Inverness Trunk Road and its junction with the access road leading to the Kings Golf Course Club House Car Park. The prohibition is required to enable works to safely proceed and will apply to the whole, or a part of the road, when a prohibition is identified by means of one or more of the appropriate temporary traffic signs as prescribed in the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016’. The closure was scheduled to finish by 18:00 hours on Friday 29 May 2020, but a further extension to the closure period is now required as work has been suspended in accordance with the guidance issued in respect of coronavirus. Once work on site resumes, the road will have to remain closed to enable the completion of this project. The Order shall come into effect at 18:00 hours on Friday 29 May 2020 and shall remain in force until 18:00 hours on Tuesday 30 June 2020 inclusive. A further review may be necessary and will be subject to future government guidance.
