SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S -PUBLIC NOTICES OF INTENTION NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“the Council”) intend, not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of road/s as stated below. The Order/s for restriction is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exceptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below. It is intended that the proposed restriction/s will come into force on the 16th December 2019 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is expected the Order will only be operative for the duration as stated in below. Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Fenns Bank at Blackoe Bridge, Whitchurch Date & Duration: 18th December 2019 for 3 days Purpose: Road Closure - New Water Connection Alternative Route : Alkington Road, Kingsway, Rosemary Lane, Highgate, Wrexham Road, A525 , Ellesmere Road, Unnamed road South East Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Marsh Lane, Hinstock Date & Duration: 16th December 2019 for 2 days Purpose: Road Closure to install a STW Boundary Box Alternative Route : Marsh Lane, A41, A529 Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Old Woods, Bomere Heath Date & Duration: 16th December 2019 for 4 days Purpose: New domestic gas connection Alternative Route : B5067, Baschurch Road, Unnamed road North towards Merrington, Unnamed road West towards Old Woods Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lordstone Lane, Gravels Bank, Minsterley Date & Duration: 16th December 2019 for 5 days Purpose: Road Closure - WPD: 1 joint hole in tarmac road for new supply. Alternative Route : Lordstone Lane, Unnamed road South West, Unnamed road South East Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road near Long Lane, Exfords Green Date & Duration: 16th December 2019 for 5 days Purpose: WPD making 2 joint holes and 20m trench for new cable. STW will also undertake a new water connection. Alternative Route : Chapel Lane, Unnamed road North, Unnamed road South West Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Morville Road, Shrewsbury Date & Duration: 2nd January 2020 for 42 days Purpose: Gas Mains Replacement Alternative Route : Mount Pleasant Road, Lancaster Road, Stokesay Avenue Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Hill Side Ditton Priors and Cockshutford Date & Duration: 2nd January 2020 for 44 days Purpose: 4th Road Closure: STW Mains Renewal Scheme: Water Mains Replacement Work Alternative Route : Unnamed road North East, Unnamed road North West, Unnamed road West, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road South East, Unnamed road South, Unnamed road South East Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Common Lane, Near Cleobury Mortimer Date & Duration: 16th December 2019 for 5 days Purpose: Road Closure: Western Power Distribution (WPD) - for under grounding cables. Ealy Start requested for 16/12 to 20/12 due to request from STW. Alternative Route : Common Lane, A4117, Catherton Road Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Racecourse Crescent, Shrewsbury Date & Duration: 16th December 2019 for 5 days Purpose: Tree Cutting Works carried out by Shrewsbury Town Council. Works done in 2 phases, only one diversion in place at any time.
