ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991 WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH GOULD FIRM LANE, ALDRIDGE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020 Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make an ORDER, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicle from proceeding in that length of carriageway of Gould Firm Lane, Aldridge that is situated from its junction with A454 Little Aston Road to a point 130 metres north of its junction with A454 Little Aston Road. Signed diversion routes will be in operation for affected traffic and access to adjacent properties will be maintained wherever it is safe and possible to do so. The diversion route for traffic affected by the closure of Gould Firm Lane will be A454 Little Aston Road, A452 Chester Road, Hobs Hole Lane and Gould Firm Lane, and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on 30 November 2020 and will remain in force for 18 months or until the work is completed, whichever is the earlier. The prohibition of traffic is appropriate to ensure that the connection works can be undertaken in a safe manner by a contractor working on behalf of Western Power Distribution. It is expected that the work will take place from 0800 (8.00 am) on 30 November 2020 until 1600 (4.00 pm) on 11 December 2020.
