PERTH AND KINROSS COUNCIL (A989 ATHOLL STREET/MELVILLE STREET/NORTH METHVEN STREET/BAROSSA STREET, PERTH) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2019 On 13/5/19 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit (a) all vehicular traffic on both sides of (i) A989 Atholl Street from its junction with Stormont Street to its junction with the A85 Barrack Street a distance of 152.81 metres or thereby; (ii) Melville Street from its junction with the A989 Atholl Street to its junction with Balhousie Street a distance of 150.42 metres or thereby and (iii) North Methven Street from its junction with the A989 Atholl Street to its junction with Union Lane a distance of 56.13 metres or thereby. and (b) all vehicles from parking and loading on both sides of (i) Rose Terrace from its junction with the A989 Atholl Street to its junction with Barossa Place a distance of 188.13 metres or thereby; (ii) Barossa Place from its junction with Rose Terrace to its junction with Melville Street a distance of 211.21 metres or thereby; (iii) Florence Place from its junction with Balhousie Street to its junction with the A912 Dunkeld Road a distance of 217.55 metres or thereby; and (iv) Barossa Street from its junction with the A989 Atholl Street to its junction with Barossa Place a distance of 156.61 metres or thereby. This Order will promote a temporary one-way order on Barossa Street in the direction from the A989 Atholl Street to Barossa Place. Alternative route: Kinnoull Street - Scott Street - Canal Street - King Street - York Place - A989 Caledonian Road. This applies from 20/5/19 for an estimated period of 2 weeks to permit carriageway resurfacing works. The works will be carried out in 2 phases with Eastbound traffic always being maintained. Should these works overrun the maximum duration of this Order is 18 months. Pedestrian and emergency vehicle access to premises will be maintained.
