(DISABLED PERSONS’ PARKING PLACES IN
ABERDEEN CITY) (REGULATORY PARKING
PLACES) (REF. 02/2025) ORDER 202
Aberdeen City Council proposes to make the above-
named order in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 and its duties under the Disabled
Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009. The effect
of the order is to establish regulatory on-street parking
places in the roads listed in the first schedule below.
In each case, a single on-street disabled parking place
(unless otherwise indicated by a quantity expressed in
brackets after the road name) will be established on the
street in question; these disabled parking bays being
reserved for the exclusive use of any vehicle displaying
a valid disabled persons’ badge (the ‘Blue Badge’).
While the second schedule specifies off-street cars parks
where Aberdeen City Council, acting as the Local Roads
Authority, will establish and revoke disabled parking bays
based on the criteria specified in the Disabled Persons’
Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009.

the draft order, which, together with maps, and an
accompanying statement of the Council’s reasons, may
be examined in the office of the Traffic Management team
at Marischal College. It is best to make an appointment
if you wish to inspect the documents; please email

(01224) 045345. Alternatively, a request can be made to
receive a copy of the documents via e-mail.
The consultation will run between 10th March and
1st April 2025, inclusive. Anyone wishing to object to
the above order must send details of the grounds for
objection, including their name and address, by e-mail to:
trafficmanagement@aberdeencity.gov.uk, or by mail to the
address below. The closing date for receipt of objections
is 1st April 2025.
Any person who submits an objection to a proposed traffic
regulation order should be aware that any objection made
will be available to members of the Council, available
for inspection by members of the public, distributed to
the press, and will form part of the relevant committee
agenda pack which is available on the Council’s website.
To that extent, however, they are redacted, with names,
addresses, telephone numbers and signatures removed.
