Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order
in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation
Act 1984 and Roads (Scotland Act 1984).
The effect of the first Order, which will operate from 23:50
on 2 February 2025 until 23:59 on 11 February 2025 is to
close Broad Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with
Queen Street and Upperkirkgate to all vehicles including
pedal cycles.
From 15:45 until 23:00 on each night between 6th and 9th
of February 2025, the roads as listed below in Schedule
1 will be closed to all vehicles including pedal cycles.
Various alternative routes are available.
The effect of the second Order, which will operate from
15:45 until 23:00 on each night between 6th and 9th
February 2025, the one-way restriction on St Catherine’s
Wynd will also be suspended and also the right turn
restrictions from Union Street, Aberdeen, on to Crown
Street and from Skene Street, Aberdeen onto Rosemount
Viaduct, will be suspended.
From 23:00 on 5 February 2025, until 23:59 on 9 February
2025 is to suspend all parking on Schedule 2 on either
side of the roads below, with the exception of vehicles
loading and/or unloading, between 07:00 and 16:00 on
each day of this Order. The no-waiting restrictions will
be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally
parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense.
Also, from 15:45 until 23:00 on each night between 6th
and 9th of February 2025, the existing parking bays on
Little John Street, Aberdeen, and on Queen Street,
Aberdeen, will be suspended, with the exception of Blue
Badge holders and also the ‘Pedestrians Only’ restriction
on Netherkirkgate, Aberdeen, between its junctions with
Broad Street and St Catherine’s Wynd shall be suspended.

The restrictions are in the interests of public safety during
the SPECTRA light festival by Aberdeen City Council. Any
