ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL (LANGDYKES
ROAD, LOIRSTON ROAD, MARCHMONT STREET,
COAST ROAD, ABERDEEN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC
MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2024
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order
in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order, which will operate from 04:00
on 5 October 2024, until 17:00 on 11 October 2024, is
to impose a prohibition of driving on Langdykes Road,
Aberdeen, from its junction with Coast Road to its junction
with Langdykes Way, and on Loirston Road, Aberdeen,
from its junction with Langdykes Road to its junction with
Loirston Manor, and on Marchmont Street, Aberdeen, from
its eastern junction with Langdykes Road to its junction
with Todhead Gardens. There will also be a prohibition
of waiting on the same stretches of road. Alternative
routes are available via Coast Road, Hareness Road,
and Wellington Road, via Loirston Avenue and Earns
Heugh Road, and via the western junction of Marchmont
Street and Langdykes Road. There will be a one-way
restriction on Coast Road, Aberdeen, from its junction
with Langdykes Road to its junction with Burnbank Village.
The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only.
An alternative route for southbound vehicles is available
via Hareness Road, Wellington Road, and Langdykes
Road.
