CONSULTATION ON REVIEW OF POLLING DISTRICT
AND PLACE ARRANGEMENTS IN MORAY
The current arrangement of Moray polling places and the
districts they serve requires to be reviewed in accordance
with the law and some changes may be proposed.
The Council must ensure that all electors have reasonable
facilities for voting and that arrangements are as realistic
as possible. We must also make sure that, as far as is reasonable and
practicable, the polling places are accessible to all electors.
Proposed Amendments
Following the first round of consultation the Elections Office
are inviting comments from interested persons / parties / organisations
on the polling places and polling districts proposed and shown at
www.moray.gov.uk/elections.
Local political parties, parliamentarians and elected members of Moray Council
will be consulted and views are invited from Community Councils and electors
within the UK Parliamentary Constituency of Moray as well as such persons as
may have particular expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for
persons who have different forms of disability.
