ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL (KING’S GATE, FOREST ROAD, MORNINGFIELD ROAD, ABERDEEN)(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2019 Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:00 on 30 May, 2019, until 22:00 on 5 June, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on King’s Gate, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Oakhill Road and Woodstock Road. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. An alternative route is available via Moray Place, Morningfield Road, and Forest Road. The existing prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from King’s Gate, Aberdeen, on to Moray Place shall be suspended. There will be a prohibition of waiting on the north side of Morningfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Forest Road and lighting pole number 2 approximately 38 metres in a westerly direction, and on the east side of Forest Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Hamilton Place and boundary between numbers 59 and 61 Forest Road. The parking restrictions are required to allow buses to manoeuvre the diversion route. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during sewer repair works on King’s Gate. The effect of the order, which will operate from 19:00 on 7 June, 2019, until 22:00 on 9 June, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the C48C Oldmeldrum Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with the A947 New Stoneywood Road and Bankhead Road. An alternative route is available via the A947 New Stoneywood Road and the A96 Inverurie Road. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during service investigation works.
