ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL ROADS (SCOTLAND) ACT, 1984 ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL (GRAMPIAN PRIDE PARADE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2019 (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2019 Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named orders in terms of its powers under section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, and section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 respectively. The effect of the first order is to impose a prohibition of driving on all the roads on the schedule below from at the times stated on 25 May, 2019. Schedule Albyn Place from St Swithin Street to Alford Place 09:00 - 12:00 Alford Place from Albyn Place to Union Street 09:00 - 12:00 Castle Street from Union Street to King Street 10:00 - 13:00 King Street from Union Street to West North Street 10:00 - 13:00 Prince Arthur Street from Albyn Place to Albyn Terrace Lane 09:00 - 12:00 Albyn Grove from Albyn Place to Albyn Lane 09:00 - 12:00 Albyn Grove from Albyn Place to Queens Terrace 09:00 - 12:00 Rubislaw Place from Albyn Place to Waverley Place 09:00 - 12:00 Victoria Street from Alford Place to Thistle Place 09:00 - 12:00 Union Street from Alford Place to Castle Street 10:00 - 13:00 Holburn Street from Alford Place to Union Grove 10:00 - 13:00 Chapel Street from Union Street to Thistle Street 10:00 - 13:00 Union Row from Union Street to Union Wynd 10:00 - 13:00 Bon Accord Street from Union Street to Langstane Place 10:00 - 13:00 South Silver Street from Union Street to Diamond Lane 10:00 - 13:00 Crown Street from Union Street to Langstane Place 10:00 - 13:00 Diamond Street from Union Street to Diamond Lane 10:00 - 13:00 Union Terrace from Union Street to Rosemount Viaduct 10:00 - 13:00 Bridge Street from Union Street to Bridge Place 10:00 - 13:00 Back Wynd from Union Street to Schoolhill 10:00 - 13:00 Market Street from Union Street to Hadden Street 10:00 - 13:00 St Catherines Wynd from Union Street to Netherkirkgate 10:00 - 13:00 Broad Street from Union Street to Queens Street 10:00 - 13:00 Exchequer Row at its junction with Castle Street 10:00 - 13:00 Marischal Street at its junction with Castle Street 10:00 - 13:00 Beach Boulevard from Links Road to Esplanade 09:00 - 24:00 Various alternative routes shall be available. The second order allows for the existing prohibitions of right turns from King Street, Aberdeen, on to West North Street, and from Holburn Street, Aberdeen, on to Willowbank Road to be suspended temporarily between 10:00 and 13:00 on 25 May, 2019. At this time the existing prohibition of right turn from Skene Street, Aberdeen, onto Rosemount Viaduct, shall be suspended in respect of service busses. The one way restriction on Exchequer Row, Aberdeen and Shiprow, Aberdeen, shall be suspended for the duration of this order. There will be a suspension all waiting for any purpose, with the exception of any waiting Taxi, on the west side of Chapel Street, Aberdeen, north of the junction with Thistle Street for 53 Metres or thereby. This is to provide a temporary Taxi rank for this period. The one way system on Chapel Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Thistle Street and Union Street, will be suspended and on Chapel Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Thistle Street and Little Chapel Street. The direction of travel will be northbound. From 18:00 on 24 May, 2019, until 13:00 on 25 May, 2019, there will be a suspension of waiting, other than vehicles associated with the Grampian Pride Parade, on the north side of Albyn Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Carden Place and Rubislaw Place. From 20:00 on 24 May, 2019 until 13:00 on 25 May, 2019, there will be a suspension all waiting for any purpose, including the disabled and motorcycle bays, with the exception of any waiting Taxi, on the inset road on Schoolhill This is to provide a temporary taxi rank for this period.
