www.highland.gov.uk THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL (BUGHT PARK AREA, INVERNESS) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION, SUSPENSION, AND PROHIBITION) ORDER 2024 Notice is hereby given that The Highland Council has made the above-named Order in terms of Sections 14(1)(b) and 14(7)(b) and 14(8) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other powers enabling them on that behalf. The Order has been made because of the likelihood of danger to the public when certain events are being held on public roads or at venues nearby. The Order, which will be in force from Sunday 28 April 2024 to Friday 28 February 2025, introduces temporary traffic measures that only apply when events listed in Column 1 or activities related to their organisation are taking place. The date/s and times detailed in Column 2 are specific to each event listed opposite. Some of the temporary traffic measures will be in force for the whole of a period detailed in Column 2 and others may be in force for only part of it. DETAILS OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MEASURES:- i) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF ON-STREET PARKING PLACES will apply on the following road throughout whole of each period specified in Column 2: Bught Drive (west side), Inverness Commencing opposite a point 2 metres or thereby north of the southernmost gable of the Florians Theatre building and extending in a northerly direction for a distance of 26 metres or thereby. (ii) TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME RESTRICTION will apply on the following road during each period specified in Column 2 when the prohibition is identified by means of one or more of the traffic signs of a type generally provided for under Section 64 of the 1984 Act: Bught Avenue (north side), Inverness Commencing at a point 8 metres or thereby west of its junction with Bught Road and extending in a westerly direction for a distance of 200 metres or thereby. (iii) TEMPORARY MANOEUVRE PROHIBITION will apply as follows during each period specified in Column 2 when the prohibition is identified by means of one or more of the traffic signs of a type generally provided for under Section 64 of the 1984 Act: No right turn from U3822 into the A82 Dalnottar-Inverness Trunk Road
