PROPOSAL OF APPLICATION NOTICE TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997 THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE (SCOTLAND)) REGULATIONS 2008 & PUBLIC EXHIBITION TO BE HELD IN RESPECT OF BROADFORD SUBSTATION EXTENSION. National Development: Extension to existing Broadford substation comprising platform area, indoor switching stations and substation buildings, associated plant and infrastructure, ancillary facilities, laydown area(s) and landscape works. A proposal of application notice (PAN) has been submitted to The Highland Council. The following events and information sources have been set up which present a hybrid face to face and virtual consultation approach to reflect the ongoing COVID pandemic and relaxing of restrictions: • Dunvegan Village Hall, Dunvegan 28/09/2021 15:00 -19:00 • Broadford Village Hall, Broadford 29/09/2021 15:00 -19:00 • Glenelg Village Hall, Glenelg 30/09/2021 15:00 -19:00 • Kyleakin Village Hall, Kyleakin 04/10/2021 15:00 -19:00 • Glengarry Community Hall, Invergarry 05/10/2021 15:00 -19:00 • Fort Augustus Village Hall, Fort Augustus 06/10/2021 15:00 -19:00 • Virtual Exhibition 13/10/2021 13:00-15:00 & 17:00 -19:00 The virtual exhibition will be accessed through: ht tps: / /www.ssen- t ransmiss ion.co.uk/pro jects /skye- reinforcement/ The exhibitions will also present routeing information for the wider Skye Overhead line project. Each event will incorporate the PAN exhibition for the related substations as detailed above. Interested parties are invited to participate in these events. Comments and queries can be made for 14 days after the events. The project website and leaflets provided to the community will provide more information on the project, comments on these are also encouraged and can be made throughout the consultation period which has been extended to 19th November 2021. Comments should not be submitted to the Council at this time as they will not be taken into consideration. Statements made to the prospective applicant and their representatives are not representations to Highland Council. If a planning application is subsequently submitted, then there will be an opportunity to make a direct representation to the Council at that time.
