c o u n c i l CONSULTATION ON REVIEW OF POLLING DISTRICT AND PLACE ARRANGEMENTS IN MORAY The current arrangement of Moray polling places and the districts they serve requires to be reviewed in accordance with the law and some changes may be proposed. The Council must ensure that all electors have reasonable facilities for voting and that arrangements are as realistic as possible. We must also make sure that, as far as is reasonable and practicable, the polling places are accessible to all electors. Proposed Amendments Following the first round of consultation the Elections Office are inviting comments from interested persons / parties / organisations on the polling places and polling districts proposed and shown at www.moray.gov.uk/elections. Local political parties, parliamentarians and elected members of Moray Council will be consulted and views are invited from Community Councils and electors within the UK Parliamentary Constituency of Moray as well as such persons as may have particular expertise in relation to access to premises or facilities for persons who have different forms of disability. How to respond We would be pleased to hear from you if you have any comments about the proposed amendments to some of the polling places and polling districts in Moray. Thereafter changes to Moray polling districts and places will be finalised after approval by Council.
