www.highland.gov.uk THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL The Council has made The Highland Council (U5174 Slackbuie Distributor Road Inverness) (Temporary Closure) Order 2020 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and related legislation, to temporarily prohibit traffic from using the U5174 commencing its junction with the A8082 Inverness Southern Distributor Road and extending to its junction with the U5494 Slackbuie Way, a distance of 272 metres, or thereby. The prohibition is required to enable public utility connection works to safely proceed, and will apply to the whole, or a part of the road, when a prohibition is identified by means of one or more of the appropriate temporary traffic signs as prescribed in the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016’. A diversion for traffic will be available using the A8082, the B851 Inverness – Leys – Inverarnie Road and the U5174. The Order shall come into effect at 07:00 hours on Monday 27 January and shall remain in force until 18:00 hours on Friday 7 February 2020 inclusive.
