ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL (BON ACCORD STREET, WHINHILL ROAD, FONTHILL ROAD, ABERDEEN)(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING FOR ANY PURPOSE) ORDER 2019 Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 18:30 on 15 September, 2019, until 16:00 on 20 September, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of waiting on either side of Bon Accord Street, Aberdeen, between the junction of Fonthill Road and the North boundary of 170/172 Bon Accord Street and on either side of Whinhill Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Bon Accord Street and the North boundary of 6 Whinhill Road and also on either side of Fonthill Road, Aberdeen, between the west boundary of 42 Fonthill Road and the east boundary of 18-20 Fonthill Road. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense. There will be temporary traffic signals in operation with these works. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during telecom mast upgrade works. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 16 September, 2019, until 16:00 on 18 September, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Cove Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Loirston Road and the access to The Washbay. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. An alternative route is available via Loirston Road, Loirston Avenue and Earns Heugh Road. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works by BT Openreach. The effect of the order, which will operate from 17:30 on 15 September, 2019, until 18:00 on 20 September, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of waiting on for any purpose on either side of John Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with George Street and Jopp’s Lane. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during construction works by Openreach. The effect of the Order, which will operate from 06:00 on 5 August 2019, until 23:59 on 3 January 2021, is to impose traffic management restrictions on any of the roads as contained within the list of Adopted Highways within Aberdeen City. These restrictions may include parking restrictions, reduced speed limits, reduced weight limits, reduced width limits, road closures, one-way restrictions and / or prohibitions of certain manoeuvres. A full list of the affected streets is available for public viewing at Marischal College, Broad Street, Aberdeen. Road closures, including any diversion routes, will be advertised with appropriate advanced signage and no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. The effect of the order, which will operate from 11:00 until 11:30 on 19 September, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Schoolhill, Aberdeen between its junctions with Belmont Street and Upperkirkgate. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during a RGC procession to St. Nicholas Kirk. THE ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL (WALKER ROAD, ABERDEEN)(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2019 Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order, which will operate from 18:00 on 19 September 2019, until 16:00 on 20 September 2019 is to impose a prohibition of waiting on either side of Walker Road, Aberdeen, between the north boundary of 126 Walker Road and the north boundary of 138 Walker Road. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owner’s expense. Also, from 07:30 until 16:00 on 20 September 2019, there will be a closure on the same stretch of road. An alternative route is available via Grampian Place, Grampian Road, Victoria Road and Walker Road. The restrictions are in the interests of public safety during repairs works by British Telecom. The effect of the order, which will operate from 09:15 on 16 September, 2019, until 15:45 on 19 September, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Wellheads Crescent, Aberdeen, between South Wellheads Industrial Centre and the access to Scientific Drilling. An alternative route is available via Wellheads Place and Wellheads Way. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during telecom mast works.
