ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991 WALSALL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH STUBBERS GREEN ROAD, ALDRIDGE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021 Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make an ORDER, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicle from proceeding in that length of carriageway of Stubbers Green Road that is situated between its junction with Brickyard Road and its junction with Barns Lane. Signed diversion routes will be in operation for affected traffic and access to adjacent properties will be maintained wherever it is safe and possible to do so. The diversion route for through traffic affected by the closure will be signed via Spring Road, A461 Lichfield Road, A461 Walsall Road, A461 High Street, A461 Lichfield Road, B4152 Salters Road, B4152 Northgate, A454 Leighswood Road and Leighswood Road, and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on Tuesday 29 June 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months or until the work is completed, whichever is the earlier. The prohibition of traffic is appropriate to ensure that carriageway resurfacing works can be undertaken in a safe manner by a contractor working on behalf of Walsall Council. It is expected that the works will be undertaken between the hours of 1900 (7.00 pm) and 0600 (6.00 am) only from Tuesday 29 June 2021 to Friday 16 July 2021. There will not be any weekend working.
