www.highland.gov.uk THE HIGHLAND COUNCIL The Council has made The Highland Council (Temporary Traffic Prohibition On The C1005 Muir Of Balnagowan – Fort George Road) Order (Amendment Number 3) 2021 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and related legislation, to temporarily prohibit traffic from using the C1005, commencing at its junction with the B9092 Ardersier – Nairn Road to its junction with the B9006 Millburn Roundabout – Culcabock – Castle Hill – Culloden Moor – Croy – Gollanfield – Fort George Road. The prohibition is required to help protect the road from damage while facilitating the safe passage of vehicles employed to carry out work at Ardersier Waste Water Treatment Works and will apply to the whole, or a part of the road, when a prohibition is identified by means of one or more of the appropriate temporary traffic signs as prescribed in the ‘Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016’. The closure was scheduled to finish by midnight on Friday 30 April 2021, but a further extension to the closure period is now required as progress was affected by the guidance issued in respect of coronavirus. This extension is required to enable the completion of the project. The Order shall come into effect at 00:00 hours on Saturday 1 May 2021 and shall remain in force until 24:00 hours on Thursday 30 September 2021 inclusive. A further review may be necessary and will be subject to future government guidance.
